Almost nine months after receiving his FIFA badge, Mathieu Bourdeau will referee his first MLS game, Toronto FC – Colorado Rapids. Bourdeau (35) made his professional debut in 2007, when he refereed Vancouver Whitecaps – Rochester Rhinos, within the second division. In 2009, he was appointed for the first time as fourth official in MLS. Final year, Bourdeau was nominated by the CSA and became a FIFA referee as of 1 January 2015. During this year, he was appointed to a FIFA World Cup qualifier, CONCACAF U-17 Championship, Pan American Video games, Champions Trophy and international pleasant matches. He also attended the annual UEFA summer season course for top referees in Switzerland.
